About Me

A world-wide pandemic caused this blog to happen.  As schools shut down in early 2020 and all teachers went into crises mode figuring out how to teach in this new era, we had to become innovative; and this blog was one result of the crises.  I wanted students to read on a variety of topics which included a bit of getting to know me through the articles.
In reality though, I created this blog a bit sooner than when schools shut down as it was a Librarian Studies assignment that I'd began several months before. I set it aside because it received little interest, but as it happens, it would become incredibly useful several months later for remote teaching.

Long story short, I'm Ms. D., a teacher, Librarian, and a writer and creative person in general. I enjoy everything about the world of academia: researching, teaching, writing, creativity. Most articles here focus on history and librarianship; however, as I get inspired I write so there are other topics I delve into also.

Overall purpose of the blog:
        • To promote literacy
        • To teach critical thinking

Finally, my hope is you enjoy the blog as much as I enjoy writing it.
