Technological Resources for Teachers

1. www.pbs.org/teachers/ This site offers high-quality videos on many different subjects, class activities, and games to promote learning.

 2. www.4teachers.org This one I like because it offers practical items such as calender creations, rubrics, and quizzes. Such things would otherwise take me many hours to create!

 3. www.teach-nology.com I like this site mainly because it offers printable worksheets. It asks that you sign up; however, there are some areas that are free without sign-up.

 4. www.teachervision.fen.com/educational-teachnology/teacher-resources/437343.html This site offers online language arts games, matching games, and PPT creators for teachers and students, such as when they need to create PPT's themselves.

 5. www.discoveryeducation.com This site is mainly for registered users, offeringclip arts, worksheets, brainboosters, which are essentially exercises that promote thinking skills, such as challenging word and number games.

Five Curriculum Resources for Teachers

These are some of my favorite websites for lesson plan ideas:

 1. SCORE. http://score.rims.k12.ca.us/ This is a great website that offers ideas on lesson plans that can be searched by grade level, standard, or specific subject. It aligns with the California standards, which is great for new teachers familiarizing themselves with the standards for our state.

 2. BBC. www.bbc.co.uk/history/ This website is great research site specifically for ancient history when dealing with Roman, Greek, or Viking history. Has great pictures associated with all those subjects.

3. The National Endowment for the Humanitieswww.neh.gov Has very basic lesson plans; however, it is good when you're out of ideas. Also has great pictures to use in your history classes!

4. The Center for Civic Educationwww.civiced.org This website is especially useful for 8th and 12th grade standards when teaching about democracy and government. It offers resource materials for students and teachers. Lastly, offers dates for professional development classes.

5. U.S. Constitution Online. www.usconstitution.net I found this website especially useful when developing lesson plans for 12th grade government, because it breaks down a subject which could be very complex. It is updated well, and very comprehensive.

6.    The Teacher's Corner.   www.theteacherscorner.net
On this website one can create worksheets such as crossword puzzles, word searches, word scramblers, and fill in the blanks.
